Role Overview

We are looking for an enthusiastic Front Desk Agent who possesses a true passion for the hospitality sector and an entrepreneurial mindset. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to providing outstanding service and creating a welcoming environment for all guests.

Key Responsibilities

  • Welcome each guest with a warm smile and maintain engaging eye contact.
  • Foster effective communication and teamwork with colleagues across various departments.
  • Manage all guest interactions, both in-person and via phone, with the utmost professionalism and hospitality, addressing special requests and resolving complaints as needed.
  • Facilitate the check-in process, ensuring guests receive the room type they requested at the correct rate.
  • Coordinate luggage delivery to guest rooms when necessary.
  • Issue accurate room keys to guests.
  • Conduct check-out procedures, ensuring guest satisfaction, collecting keys, posting late charges, and presenting the final bill.
  • Maintain a balanced cash drawer, process transactions, and handle foreign currency exchanges as required.
  • Reconcile all financial transactions at the end of each shift.
  • Create a friendly and helpful atmosphere that exemplifies our commitment to exceptional hospitality.
  • Assist with reservations, modifications, and cancellations in the absence of the Reservations Department.
  • Respond to guest inquiries promptly and courteously, directing them to the appropriate department when necessary.
  • Understand the hotel's Property Management System and all aspects of Front Office operations.
  • Possess comprehensive knowledge of hotel services, facilities, operating hours, and amenities.
  • Be familiar with fire and safety protocols, providing assistance during emergencies.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and other relevant discussions as requested.

Core Competencies

  • High School diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • Preferred three (3) years of experience in hospitality or a related service industry.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Collaborative and team-oriented mindset.
  • Strong ethical standards.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Opera PMS.
  • Positive attitude and attention to detail.
  • Effective problem-solving skills.
