Overview

Highgate Hotels is seeking a highly skilled Guest Services Agent to provide exceptional customer service to our guests. As a key member of our front desk team, you will be responsible for ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience for our guests throughout their stay.

Responsibilities

  • Provide warm and welcoming greetings to all guests, ensuring a positive first impression of our hotel.
  • Manage front desk operations, including check-in, check-out, and room assignments, while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Respond to guest inquiries and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner, ensuring guest satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Process payments, handle cash and credit transactions, and maintain a secure and organized cash handling system.
  • Stay up-to-date on hotel services, amenities, and promotions, and communicate this information to guests in a clear and concise manner.
  • Collaborate with other departments, including housekeeping, maintenance, and food and beverage, to ensure seamless guest experiences.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance skills and knowledge, and stay current with industry trends and best practices.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework in hospitality or a related field preferred.
  • Previous experience in a hotel or customer service role, preferably in a front desk or reservations capacity.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with guests, colleagues, and management.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
  • Basic computer skills and proficiency in hotel software systems, including property management systems and point-of-sale systems.
