Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess the nutrition status of patients referred using evidence-based methods and a whole-person approach.
  • Review electronic medical records and lab data to inform assessment and care.
  • Counsel, coach, and educate patients on nutrition guidelines related to their condition.
  • Work collaboratively with the patient's healthcare team to support achieving health goals.
  • Provide case management services to improve outcomes for at-risk populations.

Maintaining a Presence in the Clinical Area:

  • Be available for nutrition education and support.
  • Assist providers and staff as needed.
  • Provide warm hand-offs for patients requiring nutrition support.
  • Maintain consistent nutrition and wellness resources across the practice.

Requirements:

  • BS or MS degree in dietetics from an accredited college or university with completion of a certified internship program.
  • Current NYS Registered Dietitian license.
  • Preferably 2+ years of experience as a clinical or community-based dietitian.
  • Ability to lift and carry 10 pounds regularly and more occasionally.
  • Ability to walk, sit, stand, bend, and twist intermittently throughout the workday.

Compensation:

$61,500 - $64,000 annual salary (based on a full-time, 40-hour work week). Individual compensation may vary based on factors such as skill set, experience, and qualifications.
