Nutrition Specialist

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Nutrition Specialist to join our team at Neighborhood Health Center. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our patients.
Responsibilities:
- Assess the nutrition status of patients referred using evidence-based methods.
- Review electronic medical records and lab data to inform assessment and treatment.
- Record information in the electronic medical record and educate patients on nutrition guidelines.
- Use motivational interviewing and shared decision-making to support patients in achieving their health goals.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to support patient care.
Requirements:
- Must possess a BS or MS degree in dietetics from an accredited college or university.
- Must be a current NYS Registered Dietitian.
- Preferably 2+ years of experience as a clinical or community-based dietitian.
