Job Summary

Catholic Health System is seeking a skilled Dietitian to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) through the Nutrition Care Process, including nutrition education and counseling to patients.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to identify patients at nutrition risk and assess nutrient requirements.
  • Develop and implement nutrition care treatment plans for assigned patients.
  • Continuously evaluate and monitor the effectiveness of MNT interventions.
Requirements
  • BS Degree in Nutrition/Dietetics plus internship or other education to meet requirements for registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).
  • Registration with the CDR and Registered Dietitian or registration eligible.
  • Certified Dietitian-Nutritionist (CDN) with New York State within 1 year of employment.
  • Active membership with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics preferred.
Working Conditions
  • Occasional exposure to mildly unpleasant physical conditions.
  • Travel between Catholic Health System facilities may be required.
  • Occasional evenings for nutrition counseling appointments or classes.
