Role Overview:

As a Project Manager in our Smart Buildings division, you will oversee and manage multiple building automation initiatives concurrently, each varying in complexity. Your contributions will play a vital role in creating safer environments in essential facilities such as healthcare institutions, educational establishments, and industrial sites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess project specifications, drawings, and related documentation to fully understand project objectives, collaborating with the team to establish comprehensive timelines while identifying critical installation deadlines.
  • Oversee the procurement of necessary materials and supplies for project completion, actively participating in cost evaluations to ensure financial efficiency.
  • Assist the Operations Manager in engaging subcontractors, coordinating their activities to align with project scope, schedules, and financial requirements while ensuring adherence to safety regulations.
  • Conduct orientations for project technicians, providing all essential project documentation, including scopes of work, technical drawings, project contacts, and application-engineered diagrams.
  • Monitor project resources and progress closely, documenting any occurrences that may impact the timeline, scope, and overall efficiency; identifying and pursuing opportunities for project-specific modifications.
  • Manage project-related billing coordination with the accounting department and Operations Manager, scheduling commissioning resources, expediting the submission of mark-ups for as-built development, and ensuring the timely completion of project closure documentation.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or recognized GED.
  • Experience in project management within the HVAC controls sector.
  • Familiarity with HVAC industry applications; ability to interpret and understand MEP drawings and specifications, as well as electrical, network, and control wiring diagrams; prior exposure to industry-standard communication protocols such as Ethernet, Modbus, and BACnet.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project.
  • Minimum age of 21 with a valid driver's license and minimal violations.
  • Authorized to work in the United States without ongoing company sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate's Degree or Bachelor's in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
  • Over 5 years of project management experience in the HVAC controls sector.
