Position Overview

The Senior Project Management Leader is responsible for overseeing the execution and delivery of strategic, multifaceted projects across various teams, ensuring successful and timely outcomes. This role operates under the guidance of the Manager of the Corporate Project Management Office (CPMO). The Senior Project Management Leader plays a vital role in supporting the project portfolio through effective planning, coordination, tracking, and execution of projects aligned with the organization's strategic objectives. Key stakeholders for this position encompass various business sectors, including product development, marketing, finance, and network expansion. The Senior Project Management Leader serves as the primary liaison to these stakeholders, ensuring they comprehend how their contributions and responsibilities are integral to the success of each project.

Key Responsibilities

Project Management:

Oversee all stages of the project management lifecycle for initiatives that may span 6-12 months, driving organizational change and potentially involving external partners.Utilize established tools and methodologies to manage programs and projects, including scope definition, scheduling, risk assessment, issue resolution, and resource allocation.Coordinate internal teams and external vendors to ensure seamless project execution.Guarantee that all projects are completed on schedule, within scope, and on budget.Develop project scopes and objectives, engaging all relevant stakeholders while ensuring technical and operational feasibility.Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.Formulate a detailed project schedule to monitor progress.Ensure resource availability and effective allocation.Employ appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule, and costs.Proactively identify and address potential challenges, setting a clear course to overcome obstacles.

Team and Stakeholder Management:

Facilitate collaboration among teams across business and technology sectors; cultivate relationships and communicate effectively at all organizational levels.Ensure the project team operates at a high level of performance, delivering essential project outcomes throughout the project lifecycle.Report and escalate issues to project leaders as necessary.Understand the priorities of business areas and their relevance to assigned projects.Manage relationships with key business sponsors and all stakeholders.Establish and maintain connections with external partners and vendors.

Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.PMP and Agile certifications are strongly preferred.

Experience:

5-7 years of experience in project management, including leading high-level corporate projects.A minimum of 2 years of professional experience in the health insurance or healthcare sector.

Skills:

Demonstrated ability to meet project deadlines and deliver successful outcomes.Proficient in managing multiple projects effectively in a dynamic business environment.Ability to excel in a matrix-management environment that requires a consultative approach and solutions spanning various business areas.Strong initiative and autonomy, coupled with the capacity to synthesize information for informed decision-making and timely escalation of support requests to leadership.Exceptional oral and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information clearly to diverse audiences.A collaborative team player capable of fostering effective working relationships within the project team.
