Position Overview: This role acts as the initial point of contact for all individuals entering a healthcare facility, undertaking a variety of responsibilities associated with patient intake and care. The position encompasses vital functions in both in-person and virtual clinical environments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Greet, schedule, and check in patients, ensuring outstanding customer service throughout the process.
  • Respond promptly to phone inquiries and return calls as necessary.
  • Coordinate appointment scheduling in line with established protocols.
  • Verify that patient documentation, pre-visit questionnaires, consent forms, and demographic and insurance details are accurately completed and uploaded into the electronic medical record system.
  • Process co-payments, deductibles, and manage other financial transactions as required.
  • Ensure all document scanning is completed on the same business day they are received.
  • Achieve or surpass departmental metrics for outreach and scheduling activities, and assist in generating reports for performance tracking.
  • Exhibit empathy and compassion consistently during all patient interactions.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • Preferred qualifications include Medical Assistant certification or an Associate degree in a health-related discipline.
  • A minimum of six months of relevant professional experience in a similar capacity, such as customer service or medical front office, is preferred.
  • Current CPR and First Aid Certification, along with an Arizona Fingerprint Clearance card, are required (assistance will be provided for obtaining a Fingerprint Clearance Card upon offer acceptance).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.
  • Experience with electronic record-keeping systems (EMR, billing software, insurance carrier portals, spreadsheets, etc.) is preferred.
  • Bilingual abilities are a plus.
Work Schedule:
  • Onsite workdays are scheduled from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5:30 PM.
