We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Patient Services Representative to join our team at TEKsystems. As a Patient Services Representative, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our clients.
Key Responsibilities- Schedule and Coordinate Appointments: Schedule and register patient appointments, and provide information for other requests, such as addresses, directions, phone numbers, and hours of operation.
- Process Communication Requests: Process all phone, fax, email, and other communication channel requests with an emphasis on efficiency and accuracy.
- Assist New Members: Assist new members with introduction to and explanation of available services, processes, and availability of providers.
- Update Patients on Referrals and Authorizations: Update patients on the status of their referral or authorizations.
- Answer and Process Calls: Answer, screen, and process a high volume of incoming calls in a professional manner.
- Direct Patient Access: Direct patient access to the practice by scheduling and canceling patient appointments for multiple providers.
- Utilize Phone Scripts and Clinical Decision Trees: Utilize and adhere to phone scripts, clinical decision trees, and scheduling criteria following department guidelines.
- Communicate with Patients and Physicians: Communicate with patients and internal and external ordering physicians' offices, complex exam preparation instructions, including pre-procedure laboratory test requirements and other necessary preparations instructions.
- Send Accurate and Complete Communication: Send out accurate and complete communication to physicians or other healthcare providers.
- 20 hours a week: Work 20 hours a week within the below time blocks.
- Time Blocks: Monday/Tuesday - high call volume, 8 hours; Wednesday-Friday - 4 hours.
