Position Overview:

The Faropoint Investments team is seeking a driven and enthusiastic Market Officer to join our ranks. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in Acquisition and/or Asset Management and is eager to broaden their expertise in Real Estate Private Equity.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the current market team in Atlanta, Georgia.
  • Identify investment opportunities and nurture ongoing relationships with business partners.
  • Support the processes of disposition, acquisitions, and refinancing through broker engagement and selection, negotiation of legal agreements, and closing procedures.
  • Underwrite the complete lifecycle of each asset from acquisition to disposition, including investor returns under various scenarios.
  • Formulate and execute strategic business plans for each asset, guiding its daily operations, market positioning, and eventual disposition.
  • Direct Property Management teams to ensure financial performance, timely reporting, proactive maintenance, and positive tenant relations.
  • Assist in transaction analysis and support due diligence for new acquisitions.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for investor clients and senior management.
  • Develop analytical tools to enhance leadership's understanding of the portfolio's status.
  • Review property manager operating expenses and CAM reconciliations for accuracy, providing final approvals to property managers before tenant notifications.
  • Collaborate with various departments to enhance and document processes and streamline reporting.
  • Manage relationships with leasing brokers, attorneys, and lenders to negotiate lease terms that meet or exceed proforma budgets.
  • Develop strategies for capital improvements and oversee design and construction management activities.
  • Negotiate third-party contracts and supervise the implementation of capital improvement and value-add initiatives within the portfolio.
Candidate Profile:
  • 7-10 years of experience in commercial real estate, focusing on acquisition or asset management.
  • In-depth knowledge of the Atlanta Metro market.
  • Experience in industrial real estate is preferred.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Real Estate, Finance, Accounting, or a related field is preferred.
Essential Skills & Competencies:
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, including template creation for users, and strong modeling and underwriting capabilities.
  • Comprehensive understanding of real estate finance, including commercial lease terms and debt and equity structures.
  • Able to thrive in a collaborative environment, partnering effectively with internal colleagues, external suppliers, and cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical, accounting, and critical thinking abilities.
  • High comfort level with technology that facilitates collaboration, communication, and documentation.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
