Position Title: Deskside Support Technician
Position Summary:
The Deskside Support Technician will be responsible for:
- Engaging with clients on a daily basis.
- Acting as a representative of the company in all client interactions.
- Diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, or connectivity issues.
- Assisting Desktop and Laptop users with problems related to Microsoft, Adobe, Roxio, and other deployed applications.
- Providing solutions through customer education, training, and direct support.
- Managing backup, recovery, and data restoration processes during system upgrades or troubleshooting.
- Addressing formatting and peripheral issues as they arise.
- Delivering both phone and in-person support for various systems, including email, LAN/WAN, user account management, active directory, standard desktop configurations, and both commercial and government applications.
- Serving as the primary contact for troubleshooting all IT-related issues, including hardware/software, password resets, and printer malfunctions.
Required Qualifications:
- DOD 8570 IAT Level II or III certification is mandatory, such as Security+ CE.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in an enterprise environment, either commercial or governmental.
- Proficiency in all standard MS Office applications and MS Project.
- Knowledge of workstation administration and management, including imaging processes.
- Basic networking support experience, including account management in an active directory setting.
- Strong analytical, verbal and written communication, presentation, and problem-solving abilities.
- Capability to gain internal support and work independently without supervision.
- Ability to build solid working relationships with clients, technical staff, management, and peers.
Preferred Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
- ITIL Foundations v3 certification is a plus.
- Familiarity with Remedy or other ticketing systems is advantageous.
