Position Overview

We are a professional services firm specializing in financial solutions for artists, athletes, entrepreneurs, and small business proprietors. We are in search of a versatile candidate with substantial experience who can assume a critical role within our organization.

The ideal candidate will have exceptional technical expertise along with the capability to effectively nurture client relationships, which are vital to our success.

This role is particularly suited for a senior accountant aspiring to progress to a managerial position or for a manager seeking an exceptional partnership opportunity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare precise and timely financial statements in compliance with business management policies and procedures, including journal entries, account reconciliations, budgeting, cash management, and audits.
  • Conduct and present financial analyses, long-term cash flow assessments, and profit & loss reporting solutions.
  • Oversee insurance renewals and claims for both institutional and individual clients.
  • Deliver weekly client communications, including cash reports and updates.
  • Assist in reviewing and summarizing all client agreements.
  • Create, review, and approve budgets, shareholder payroll, and 1099 reports.
  • Support the oversight and execution of new client onboarding processes.
  • Collaborate directly with management on estate planning, asset purchases, and investments.
  • Monitor cash management to track credit card activities, fraud alerts, and credit score concerns.
  • Review the work and accuracy of staff accountants handling accounts payable/receivable, cash receipts, payroll, etc.
  • Oversee the timely and accurate preparation of commission calculations and payments.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting with a strong understanding of accounting principles and financial statement concepts.
  • Experience in a CPA firm or family office environment.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of tax return processes for individuals, S Corporations, C Corporations, LLCs, and Partnerships.
  • Experience with tax audits and responding to notices.
  • Ability to identify, analyze, and resolve financial and tax-related issues, perform research, and demonstrate critical thinking for effective planning.
  • Strong software proficiency, particularly in Excel, and familiarity with CCH ProSystem.
  • Effective communication skills to manage client interactions (written, verbal, and in-person).
  • Capability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines while working collaboratively as part of a team.
