This role is particularly suited for a senior accountant aspiring to elevate their career to a managerial position, or for an existing manager seeking a rewarding partnership opportunity.
This position requires in-office attendance, as you will be closely supervising, guiding, and supporting other team members.
- Prepare precise and timely financial statements in compliance with business management policies and procedures, including journal entries, account reconciliations, budgeting, cash management, and audits.
- Conduct and present financial analyses, long-term cash flow assessments, and profit and loss reporting solutions.
- Oversee insurance renewals and claims for both institutional and individual clients.
- Deliver weekly client communications, including cash reports and updates.
- Assist in the review and summarization of all client agreements.
- Manage the creation, review, and approval of budgets, shareholder payroll, and 1099 reports.
- Support the oversight and execution of new client onboarding processes.
- Collaborate directly with management on estate planning, asset purchases, and investment assessments.
- Monitor cash management to track credit card activity, fraud alerts, and credit score concerns.
- Review the work and accuracy of staff accountants handling accounts payable/receivable, cash receipts, payroll, etc.
- Oversee the timely and accurate preparation of commission calculations and payments.
Qualifications
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting with a strong understanding of accounting principles and financial statement concepts.
- Experience in a CPA firm and/or family office environment.
- Comprehensive knowledge of tax return concepts for individuals, S Corporations, C Corporations, LLCs, and Partnerships.
- Experience with tax audits and the ability to respond to notices.
- Proficient in identifying, analyzing, and resolving tax and financial issues, with strong research and critical thinking skills necessary for effective planning and advice.
- Strong software proficiency, particularly in Excel, and familiarity with CCH ProSystem.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients in written, verbal, and face-to-face settings.
- Capability to manage multiple priorities, clients, and tight deadlines as part of a collaborative team.
