Job Title: Facilities Mechanical Engineer

Job Overview: In the role of Facilities Mechanical Engineer, you will oversee the effective functioning, upkeep, and repair of critical building systems such as HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and automation controls. This position demands proficiency in managing substantial machinery in diverse settings and responding to maintenance requests efficiently to maintain seamless operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting routine maintenance and repair activities on mechanical systems within the facility
  • Engaging with both internal teams and external partners to ensure clear communication
  • Managing and monitoring Building Automation Systems
  • Keeping precise records within the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
  • Collaborating with outside contractors for specialized tasks
  • Procurement of necessary materials for maintenance and repairs

Required Qualifications:

  • A minimum of five years of experience in HVAC or facilities engineering
  • Relevant certifications in HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, or similar fields
  • Proven skills in diagnosing and rectifying building system issues
  • Excellent communication abilities and proficiency in English
  • Physical capability to perform maintenance duties in various environments

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to perform physical activities such as lifting, climbing, and prolonged standing
  • Potential exposure to varying noise levels, temperatures, and confined spaces
  • Majority of work is performed indoors, particularly in mechanical spaces and on rooftops

Work Environment:

  • Work conditions may include occasional noise and temperature fluctuations
  • Some responsibilities may necessitate working in confined areas
  • Occasional duties may require presence in office settings
