Position Overview:
The Lead HVAC Systems Engineer will oversee the design, development, and execution of HVAC solutions for various projects, including commercial, industrial, and residential applications. This role requires a hands-on approach to project management, ensuring that all engineering designs adhere to the highest standards of safety, efficiency, and environmental sustainability.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Leadership:
- Direct HVAC system design projects from initial concept through to completion.
- Create and manage project timelines, budgets, and deliverables to ensure efficient project execution.
- Collaborate with clients, architects, and other engineering teams to formulate integrated HVAC designs.
- Maintain knowledge of industry regulations and standards.

Design and Development:
- Generate innovative designs and conduct feasibility assessments for HVAC systems.
- Produce detailed engineering documentation, including drawings and specifications.
- Ensure compliance with applicable codes and regulations throughout the design process.

Technical Oversight:
- Mentor junior engineers and design personnel, providing technical support and guidance.
- Perform thorough reviews and quality assurance on engineering documentation.
- Stay updated on the latest advancements in HVAC technology and industry practices.
- Conduct testing and validation to ensure designs meet operational and safety standards.

Client Engagement:
- Effectively communicate with clients to ascertain their requirements and provide tailored technical solutions.
- Present design proposals and project updates to clients and stakeholders.
- Address client feedback and adjust designs to meet project specifications.

Sustainability Focus:
- Integrate energy-efficient and sustainable practices into HVAC design projects.
- Assess and adopt new technologies to enhance system performance and efficiency.
- Develop creative solutions to complex engineering challenges.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline; a Master's degree is preferred.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license is advantageous but not mandatory.
- A minimum of 4 years of experience in HVAC or refrigeration design and engineering.
- Proficiency in HVAC design software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or Autodesk Inventor.
- Strong understanding of HVAC codes, standards, and regulations.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Familiarity with water source heat pumps is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:
- LEED Accreditation or experience with sustainable design methodologies.
- Experience designing HVAC systems for a variety of building types, including commercial, industrial, and residential.
- Familiarity with Autodesk Inventor software.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.
