Position Overview

Mid-State Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine is seeking a reliable Uncertified Clinical Support Specialist to join our dynamic medical team. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our practice by performing a variety of clinical tasks. The Uncertified Clinical Support Specialist will collaborate closely with healthcare providers and patients, managing test sample collection, maintaining patient documentation, explaining routine medical procedures, and assisting during basic examinations.

Key Responsibilities:

· Prepare patients for examinations by placing them in exam rooms and gathering preliminary medical history and information.

· Set up medical equipment and assist healthcare providers during treatments, examinations, and procedures. Support patient assessments and examinations as required.

· Document physician orders and treatment plans accurately. Monitor, record, and communicate patients' conditions and responses to treatments.

· Facilitate discharge instructions, follow-up care, diagnostic testing, and medication guidance for patients.

· Serve as a communication bridge between patients, healthcare providers, and clinical teams, addressing inquiries and providing support to patient families.

· Engage in the development of departmental goals and objectives, recommending innovative approaches to enhance departmental efficiency and service quality.

· Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

· Excellent communication skills are essential for effective interaction with patients, physicians, and staff.

· Strong organizational abilities are required. The candidate must efficiently manage tasks with precision in a fast-paced environment that may have frequent interruptions.

· Ability to analyze information and resolve complex issues is necessary.

· Familiarity with electronic health record systems is preferred.

· Capability to work independently while adhering to interpretive guidelines in a dynamic and rapidly changing environment.

· Proven ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with patients, colleagues, and healthcare providers, demonstrating a commitment to customer service.

· A valid driver's license is required, along with the ability to travel as needed.

· Flexibility to work overtime when necessary.

· Must meet the physical demands required to perform essential job functions successfully.
