Job Summary and Qualifications
We are looking for a Clinical Laboratory Specialist to join our team and ensure that we continue to deliver high-quality, efficient care to all patients.
In this role, you will:
- Consistently verify patient identification, specimen tubes, and orders to prevent errors.
- Adhere to all policies and procedures established by the hospital and laboratory departments.
- Perform sample analysis in areas of demonstrated competency.
- Calibrate, standardize, and maintain instrumentation according to established procedures.
- Document quality control to ensure proper functioning of instrumentation and reagents.
- Evaluate and validate test results and quality control records.
- Coordinate with medical staff in the interpretation of data.
- Assist in training fellow employees and students in laboratory tasks.
- Demonstrate good problem-solving skills in troubleshooting instrumentation and processes.
- Participate in departmental meetings with suggestions for performance improvement.
Qualifications
To be considered for this position, you will need:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Clinical Laboratory Science.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification, or CPR for Healthcare Providers, to be obtained within 30 days of employment.
