The Healthy Lifestyle Program at CMAP Express is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Clinical Nutrition Specialist to advocate for nutritious eating practices and deliver Medical Nutrition Therapy to clients in the designated service area.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate must possess a Bachelor's degree from an accredited dietetics program and hold a current license with the Commission for Dietetic Registration (CDR). An active dietetics license in Louisiana is mandatory. Additional qualifications in physical fitness or personal training are advantageous.
Experience:
A minimum of three to five years of experience in dietetics is required, along with proficiency in team collaboration, organization, time management, communication, and interpersonal skills. Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license are essential for covering the service area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver personalized Medical Nutrition Therapy and conduct group nutrition and exercise counseling for clients.
- Support, motivate, and educate clients on sustainable healthy eating and exercise habits.
- Assess, design, and evaluate individualized meal and fitness plans tailored to clients' nutritional and health needs.
- Provide nutritional education and counseling, adapting plans as necessary based on ongoing assessments.
- Develop culturally appropriate nutrition strategies and communicate recommendations to healthcare providers as needed.
