Job Title: Senior Data Modeler

Job Summary:

Comtech Global Inc is seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Modeler to join our team. As a Senior Data Modeler, you will be responsible for designing and implementing data models that support business decision-making and operational workflows.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement comprehensive data models that align with business requirements and ensure data consistency, scalability, and quality.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into sophisticated data models using industry-standard tools such as ERwin, ER/Studio, and PowerDesigner.
  • Develop and maintain data architecture standards and best practices to ensure uniformity, expandability, and data integrity.
  • Evaluate and refine current data structures to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to enhance data accuracy and functionality.
  • Partner with data engineers, DBAs, and other technical teams to ensure seamless data model implementation and transition to live environments.
  • Develop and manage data dictionaries, metadata repositories, and data lineage records to maintain data governance and regulatory compliance.
  • Facilitate data modeling strategy workshops and training sessions to promote high standards in data modeling and architecture.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in data modeling and architecture to drive innovation in data management.

Requirements:

  • 7 years of experience in data modeling within a large enterprise environment.
  • Mastery of data modeling applications including ERwin, ER/Studio, and PowerDesigner.
  • Indepth knowledge of data modeling methodologies encompassing conceptual, logical, and physical frameworks.
  • Track record of developing and implementing data architecture standards and best practices.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills to refine data architectures and enhance data accuracy and functionality.
  • Advanced interpersonal and collaborative skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and partners.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field or equivalent professional experience.

Desirable Expertise:

  • Familiarity with SAP ECC and experience with SAP data modeling frameworks.
