Job Title: Structural Bridge Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Structural Bridge Engineer to join our team of transportation professionals servicing state and municipal clients in Maine, New Hampshire, and throughout New England.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform bridge design and analysis using AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Specifications and other relevant codes and standards.
  • Develop design plans, technical specifications, and construction cost estimates for bridge projects.
  • Prepare, check, and deliver engineering calculations, reports, and technical studies for bridge design and analysis.
  • Build a strong culture of quality design and teamwork within the bridge design group.
  • Assist with occasional bridge inspection and load rating assignments.
  • Carry out constructability reviews during the design of conventionally procured projects.
Qualifications:
  • Experience with MaineDOT, NHDOT, and/or VTrans design standards and practices.
  • Experience with AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Specifications is desired.
  • Effective verbal, visual, and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in MicroStation, MathCAD, Inroads, & Microsoft Office.
  • Experience using bridge design and analysis software (Merlin-Dash, CSiBridge, STAAD, AASHTOware, LPile, Group, LEAP-steel/concrete, etc.) is desired.
  • Experience with bridge inspection and load rating is desired.
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering. Master's degree in Structural Engineering desired.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer required.
  • Position will primarily be in an office setting; may require some field work.
