Job Overview

Hoyle Tanner is seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to join our Ground Transportation Division. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering creative, cost-effective, and quality solutions for our clients.

This is a hybrid remote position opportunity based out of any of our New England offices. We offer flexible schedule and remote work options, as well as a lucrative sign-on bonus. Our salaries are competitive, and our benefits package is comprehensive.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of CADD teammates in the development of transportation infrastructure plans and specifications
  • Perform bridge design, structural analysis, and construction observation
  • Prepare construction cost estimates, technical specifications, and construction administration
  • Develop person-hour estimates and budgets with guidance from senior staff
  • Assist in proposal efforts and development
  • Provide coaching, mentoring, and feedback to develop entry-level and staff engineers
Requirements
  • BS (MS preferred) Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering
  • 5 - 10 years of relevant experience
  • Current PE in NH, MA, ME, or VT
  • Experience with MaineDOT, NHDOT, VTrans, or MassDOT and municipal bridge projects
  • Proficiency in software and programs such as AutoCAD, Microstation, Bridge Structural Analysis Programs, MathCad, and BlueBeam
