The manager evaluates operational needs, formulates systems and procedures for enhancement, coordinates medication usage assessments, and spearheads departmental process improvement initiatives.

In addition, the manager is responsible for:

  • Recruiting and assessing pharmacy staff
  • Formulating and implementing policies and procedures
  • Representing the pharmacy department in strategic planning efforts

Qualifications:

  • Pharm.D., M.S., or B.S. Degree with relevant clinical experience
  • A minimum of two years of pertinent pharmacy experience
  • Valid Georgia Pharmacist License
  • Completion of an ASHP accredited administrative residency or four years of specialized practice experience
