Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the month-end closing process, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with tax regulations and identify areas for improvement.
  • Prepare detailed tax documentation, including returns, balance sheets, and other financial statements.
  • Oversee tax provision preparation and review complex income tax filings.
  • Collaborate with the finance department to develop effective tax strategies aligned with business goals.
  • Act as a liaison with tax authorities and provide support during audits as needed.
  • Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
  • Mentor and train junior staff, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline; a Master's degree in Taxation is a plus.
  • Must possess CPA or EA certification.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a tax manager role or similar position within a CPA firm.
  • In-depth knowledge of tax accounting, compliance, and various tax returns.
  • Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Proven experience with audit and review processes.
  • Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
  • High level of integrity and professionalism.
  • Proficient in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
