Role Overview: Behavioral Health Technician

The Behavioral Health Technician is essential to the success of our clients. This position involves providing direct care and supervision to children within our Residential Interventions Program, focusing on those who have experienced trauma and face behavioral health challenges.

The Technician is responsible for meeting each child's fundamental life, educational, and emotional needs, striving to create a consistent and structured environment.

Available Opportunities: Full-time, part-time, and PRN positions with flexible scheduling options.

Shifts Offered:

2nd shift: 2:30 pm - 10:30 pm

3rd shift: 10:00 pm - 8:00 am

Compensation:

Earn up to $19 per hour *(with opportunities for advancement through our tiered system)

Additional $1.00 shift differential for 2nd shift; $0.50 shift differential for 3rd shift.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide continuous supervision and engage with youth during daily activities, including meals, hygiene, educational instruction, therapeutic sessions, and recreational outings.
  • Implement and uphold program guidelines while assisting youth in understanding rules and expectations.
  • Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for all clients.
  • Actively participate in educational and recreational activities.
  • Model appropriate behavior management, problem-solving, and coping strategies.
  • Engage with youth and families in a trauma-informed manner.
  • Utilize de-escalation techniques learned through company training.
  • Complete all necessary documentation before the end of each shift.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience working with at-risk youth or in a residential treatment setting preferred.
  • Familiarity with behavioral interventions is a plus.
  • Comfort in providing services to a diverse clientele.
  • Ability to engage in physical activities, including recreational tasks.
  • Must be at least 20 years old.
  • Valid driver's license and proof of current auto insurance required, with no DUI/OVI violations and no more than 5 points on driving record.
