Location: Clermont County Area

Work Schedule: Seasonal, Full-time, 40 hours per week

Required Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED

Preferred Experience: At least two years of experience working with children aged birth to five, particularly with challenging behaviors. Familiarity with individualized support and behavior management techniques is advantageous.

Role Summary: The Floating Support Aide plays a crucial role in assisting educators in managing challenging behaviors through trauma-informed practices within early childhood settings. This position collaborates closely with the Behavior Support Coach to provide tailored support to children throughout the county.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver hands-on assistance in classrooms facing significant behavioral or social-emotional challenges, utilizing trauma-informed methodologies and Conscious Discipline techniques.
  • Depending on the needs and recommendations from the ECMHT, transportation support on school buses may be necessary.
  • Facilitate the preparation of the learning environment and assist with daily routines to cater to individual children's requirements.
  • Participate in team meetings with parents, educators, and ECMHT to develop intervention strategies, ensuring follow-up with staff and families as directed by the Behavior Support Coach.
  • Collaborate with the Behavior Support Coach to devise effective behavioral strategies addressing identified concerns.
  • Engage in specialized professional development to enhance skills relevant to the role, focusing on trauma-informed practices, Conscious Discipline, and social-emotional growth.
