Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse II to join our team at the Department of Developmental Services. As a LPN II, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional nursing care and support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide nursing care and oversight to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities
  • Implement health care plans, chart vital signs, and administer medications as prescribed
  • Assist with daily maintenance, personal care, and other services of support
  • Initiate referrals for needed medical services, including scheduling and follow-up care
  • Communicate health issues to staff and update families/guardians on hospitalizations and other medical concerns
Requirements
  • Current and valid license as a practical nurse under the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Nursing
  • At least one year of paraprofessional experience in the field of nursing as a licensed practical nurse
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and provide excellent customer service
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
