About the Role

As a Materials Operations Leader at Amcor Rigid Packaging (ARP), you will play a crucial role in enhancing our production planning, inventory management, customer service, and logistics operations. Your leadership will directly support the Production, Maintenance, and Warehouse teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality containers while adhering to company policies and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Foster exceptional customer service by maintaining professional communication with clients.
  • Conduct daily production planning and monthly scheduling to optimize equipment efficiency.
  • Manage sales orders and adjustments to meet customer delivery requirements.
  • Oversee the procurement of raw materials and shipping supplies for efficient production.
  • Engage with customers to address product specifications and delivery needs.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to align production schedules for injection and blow molding processes.
  • Supervise inventory control through cycle counting and effective warehousing practices.
  • Maintain and enhance the manufacturing database for accurate reporting and optimal use.
  • Lead and develop the materials and warehouse teams, ensuring compliance with company policies.
  • Utilize various software programs for data management and reporting.
  • Generate comprehensive schedules and reports to support operational goals.
  • Ensure a safe working environment by identifying and addressing unsafe conditions.
  • Monitor materials operations for compliance with quality and safety standards.
  • Identify operational concerns and implement corrective actions as necessary.
  • Manage labor resources effectively to avoid unfavorable variances.
  • Conduct training for new and existing employees on operational policies and safety procedures.
  • Promote a collaborative and positive work culture to enhance employee engagement.
Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor's degree is required; relevant experience may be considered.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret business documents and regulations.
  • Proficient in report writing and business correspondence.
  • Ability to present information effectively in group settings.
  • Mathematical proficiency for data analysis and problem-solving.
  • Capability to understand and respond to diverse customer needs.
