Role Description

We are seeking skilled truck and trailer operators to transport and distribute Mutual Materials products across the Puget Sound area, primarily along the I-5 corridor.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Loading, unloading, and delivering products safely and efficiently.
  • Verifying delivery counts and ensuring accurate paperwork.
  • Utilizing a moffett or forklift for unloading, with no tarping required - only straps.
  • Fostering positive customer relations as part of our distribution and delivery team.

This role involves working 4-10 hour shifts, Monday to Wednesday and Friday, during the night. The position is based out of our Olympia Branch. A shift differential of $0.75 applies for night shifts. Pay rates increase at 6 months, with full scale reached at 12 months per the collective bargaining agreement. Overtime rates apply for any shifts worked on non-scheduled days.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications
  • Must possess a current class "A" CDL license and meet all Federal DOT requirements.
  • Strong verbal communication skills; prior customer service experience is advantageous.
  • Able to lift up to 75 pounds occasionally and work both independently and as part of a dynamic distribution team.
  • Familiarity with Mutual Materials products and forklift operation is a plus. Willingness to work overtime is essential.
  • This is a union position; new hires must join the union within thirty days of employment.
