Business Development Manager

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced Business Development Manager to join our team at Sanmina. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for developing and capturing business opportunities in the Defense & Aerospace industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute business development strategies to capture new and existing business opportunities in the Defense & Aerospace industry.
- Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers in the industry, including government and congressional personnel.
- Assist in the development of long-term business and marketing strategies for Sanmina.
- Establish strategic business development initiatives, including program and M&A opportunities.
- Maintain intimate knowledge of government budgeting and procurement processes.
- Develop and maintain business relationships with customers, prime contract holders, and direct government.
- Understand Sanmina's offerings and promote its total solution capabilities within customer organizations.
- Develop, maintain, and execute business development campaigns for the Tactical Business and/or integrated manufacturing services segment.
- Perform all necessary due diligence and market analysis required to assess the viability of proposed new product/service offerings.
- Track opportunities and conduct market intelligence.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or higher, Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum 12 years of proven business development experience in the Defense & Aerospace industry.
- Military experience, while not an absolute requirement, is a plus.
- A current security clearance or eligibility/ability to obtain one is required.
- A technical background is a plus.
- Knowledge of electronic design, development, and manufacturing a plus.
- Strong business acumen developed through a combination of education and experience.
- Ability to demonstrate relationship building skills and interact with professionals at all organizational levels.
- Solid negotiation skills required for interaction with both customers and internal stakeholders.
- Demonstrate communication, presentation, and business writing skills.
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Availability for travel frequently, both domestically and internationally, as needed.
