Job Title: Business Development Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced Business Development Manager to join our team at Sanmina. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for developing and capturing business opportunities in the Defense & Aerospace industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute business development strategies to capture new and existing business opportunities in the Defense & Aerospace industry.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers in the industry, including government and congressional personnel.
  • Assist in the development of long-term business and marketing strategies for Sanmina.
  • Establish strategic business development initiatives, including program and M&A opportunities.
  • Maintain intimate knowledge of government budgeting and procurement processes.
  • Develop and maintain business relationships with customers, prime contract holders, and direct government.
  • Understand Sanmina's offerings and promote its total solution capabilities within customer organizations.
  • Develop, maintain, and execute business development campaigns for the Tactical Business and/or integrated manufacturing services segment.
  • Perform all necessary due diligence and market analysis required to assess the viability of proposed new product/service offerings.
  • Track opportunities and conduct market intelligence.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher, Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum 12 years of proven business development experience in the Defense & Aerospace industry.
  • Military experience, while not an absolute requirement, is a plus.
  • A current security clearance or eligibility/ability to obtain one is required.
  • A technical background is a plus.
  • Knowledge of electronic design, development, and manufacturing a plus.
  • Strong business acumen developed through a combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to demonstrate relationship building skills and interact with professionals at all organizational levels.
  • Solid negotiation skills required for interaction with both customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate communication, presentation, and business writing skills.
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Availability for travel frequently, both domestically and internationally, as needed.
