About the Role

As a Cytogenetics Technologist II, you will play a critical role in our laboratory team, working on cutting-edge projects and contributing to the development of new treatments and therapies.


Responsibilities
  • Perform high-complexity genetic testing and analysis, including cytogenetic and molecular techniques, to support cancer diagnosis and treatment.
  • Work independently and collaboratively with senior technicians and leadership to ensure accurate and efficient results.
  • Develop and implement new laboratory procedures and protocols, and contribute to the validation and implementation of new technologies.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to colleagues, and participate in quality management and quality control initiatives.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of new laboratory workflows and processes, and contribute to the improvement of existing ones.

Requirements
  • BA/BS in a related scientific field, such as genetics, molecular biology, or biochemistry.
  • At least three years of experience in a cytogenetics or genomics laboratory, or completion of a formal certified training program in cytogenetics or genomics.
  • Certification as CG(ASCP)CM or MB(ASCP)CM, or international equivalent, with ongoing documentation of continuing education.
  • Strong knowledge of cancer genomics, hematological disorders, and related diagnostic testing.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and strong communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, with a strong commitment to teamwork and customer service.

The hourly pay range for this position is from $40.60 to $60.89 and pay offered will be based on experience and qualifications.
