SheerID is in search of an innovative and strategic Vice President of Product Strategy to spearhead our Product Management and Engineering divisions. The VP will be tasked with formulating and executing our product vision, ensuring it aligns with our organizational objectives, while steering the comprehensive development and rollout of groundbreaking solutions that provide substantial value to our clientele.

Reporting directly to the CEO, the VP will play a pivotal role in crafting, implementing, and refining a product strategy that addresses market needs and propels the company’s expansion. They will devise a thorough, data-informed strategy aimed at generating new revenue avenues, delivering outcomes that are measurable, predictable, scalable, and sustainable. The VP will be adept at articulating a clear and persuasive product vision and roadmap that sets SheerID apart in the industry, aligning with our mission to provide state-of-the-art identity verification solutions to enterprise clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and convey a distinct product vision and strategy that enhances SheerID’s market position and delivers value to our customers, in alignment with the company’s overarching mission and business goals.
  • Identify market opportunities, customer requirements, and the competitive landscape to guide product development priorities.
  • Provide strategic oversight and leadership throughout the entire product lifecycle, from ideation to launch, ensuring timely and high-quality execution.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and customer focus within the product management and engineering teams.
  • Champion technical excellence and the adoption of best practices in software development, quality assurance, and agile methodologies.
  • Collaborate closely with the entire Go-To-Market (GTM) team, including Marketing, Sales, Partnerships, and Customer Experience, as well as Finance and other stakeholders to ensure alignment on product initiatives.
  • Engage with key customers and stakeholders to gather insights, validate product concepts, and cultivate strong relationships.
  • Build and mentor high-performing teams, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and professional development.
  • Establish clear objectives, performance metrics, and development plans for team members.
  • Manage departmental budgets and resource allocations effectively.
  • Identify and implement tools, technologies, and processes to enhance productivity and efficiency.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Extensive experience (10+ years) in product management and engineering leadership roles, ideally within global and localized B2B2C SaaS environments.
  • Exceptional communication skills with a strong executive presence, effective in boardroom discussions and with global brands.
  • Proven track record of successfully launching innovative software and/or data products.
  • In-depth understanding of software development processes, agile methodologies, and product management best practices.
  • Outstanding strategic thinking, problem-solving, and analytical capabilities.
  • High emotional intelligence, excellent leadership, and interpersonal skills, with experience in attracting, developing, and retaining large teams.
  • Ability to excel in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while managing multiple priorities.
  • Passion for technology, innovation, and delivering exceptional customer experiences during significant growth phases.
  • Proficient in leveraging data for ROI-driven decision-making; motivated by achieving results and outcomes.
  • Expertise in building and supporting a partner ecosystem.
  • Strong understanding of SaaS Product-led Growth strategies and execution.
  • Familiarity with market research, customer feedback, focus groups, and application monitoring.
  • Experience in mapping consumer user journeys focused on engagement, conversion, and retention.
  • Knowledge of machine learning, artificial intelligence, and proprietary training data.
  • Awareness of PII regulations such as CCPA, CPRA, GDPR, and COPPA.
  • Demonstrates a collaborative, accountable, transparent, and humble team player mindset.

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience in building, launching, and scaling Data as a Service software products.
  • Familiarity with omni-channel commerce enablement.
  • Knowledge of standards, security, and privacy related to digital identity credentialing and verification.
  • Experience in managing PII within data controller, processor, and sub-processor frameworks.
  • Familiarity with consumer digital wallets and loyalty app ecosystems.
  • Experience in building and integrating partner APIs and data access.
  • Experience with marketing and functional SaaS platforms, including data connectors and CRMs.
  • Experience in predictive analytics and modeling based on consumer data.
  • Experience with fraud detection technologies and risk management.

This position may require travel.
