Resource Family Specialist

The State of Montana's Child & Family Services (CFSD) Program Bureau is seeking a highly skilled Resource Family Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining a network of resource families, including foster, kinship, guardianship, and adoptive families, to provide safe and nurturing environments for children in need of temporary or permanent care.
Key Responsibilities- Recruit, license, and retain resource families through initial inquiry, assessment, and ongoing support.
- Provide technical assistance and case management services to resource families, ensuring they have the necessary skills and resources to provide a stable and supportive environment for children.
- Collaborate with other stakeholders, including child welfare professionals, to ensure the best possible outcomes for children in care.
- Analyze diverse and large amounts of information to evaluate results and make informed decisions.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Services or a related field.
- One year of experience working in professions related to providing services for children or recruitment and licensing of foster parents.
- Strong knowledge of Child Welfare practices and policies.
- Ability to work effectively in emotionally charged environments and maintain confidentiality.
