Position Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Senior Financial Analyst to enhance our Finance & Accounting team. This role is pivotal in addressing unique financial challenges for our Defense and Homeland Security clientele.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Senior Financial Analyst, your duties will include:
  • Managing all payroll functions, including timesheet verification, labor reconciliations, and coordinating payroll with HR and external partners.
  • Processing accounts payable and receivable, reconciling accounts, maintaining accurate records, and supporting monthly closing procedures.
  • Conducting monthly bank reconciliations, verifying deposits, and addressing inquiries from financial institutions.
  • Reconciling customer accounts and assisting in collections for accounts receivable.
  • Maintaining the general ledger and fixed asset register.
  • Providing necessary documentation for external accountants during annual audits and tax preparations.
  • Assisting in local license and tax preparation.
  • Preparing periodic balance sheets and profit & loss statements.
  • Performing additional related tasks as required.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess:
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in the government contracting sector, with a focus on cost accounting.
  • Experience in payroll and compensation processes.
  • Strong analytical and documentation skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Excel and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
  • The capability to thrive in a dynamic environment with shifting priorities.

Preferred Qualifications:
While not mandatory, the following will be advantageous:
  • Familiarity with US GAAP standards.
  • Experience with various contract types such as Fixed Price, Cost Plus, and Time & Materials.
  • Knowledge of industry-standard tools like Costpoint and Unanet.
