Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Patient Services Representative to join our team at Women's Health Arizona. As a key member of our front office staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring a positive patient experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Patient Check-In and Check-Out: Greet patients in a courteous and professional manner, verify demographic and insurance information, and assist with registration forms.
  • Appointment Scheduling: Schedule appointments accurately, coordinate follow-up appointments, and confirm appointments with patients as needed.
  • Insurance Verification and Authorization: Verify patient insurance coverage, obtain pre-authorizations, and referrals for procedures and services.
  • Patient Communication: Answer incoming calls, respond to patient inquiries, and provide information regarding appointment scheduling and practice policies.
  • Administrative Support: Assist with filing, faxing, scanning, and organizing medical records, maintain a clean and organized front desk area, and perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree or certification in healthcare administration preferred.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a customer service or administrative role, preferably in a healthcare or medical office setting.
  • Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and professionally with patients, staff, and visitors.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in using computer software applications, electronic health records (EHR) systems, and office equipment.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, insurance verification processes, and HIPAA regulations.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Compassionate and empathetic attitude towards patients and their families.
