Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Probate Paralegal to join our team at AMS Staffing Inc. as a Probate Paralegal Specialist. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of probate procedures, estate administration, and trust management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Probate Petitions and Court Documents: Prepare and file probate petitions, inventories, accountings, and other court documents with precision and accuracy.
  • Estate Administration: Assist with the administration of estates, including gathering and managing assets, communicating with beneficiaries, and ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Trust Management: Support attorneys in the management and administration of trusts, including the preparation of trust accountings, distributions, and tax filings.
  • Document Preparation: Draft, review, and organize legal documents, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and other estate planning documents.
  • Client Communication: Maintain regular communication with clients, beneficiaries, and other parties involved in the probate and estate administration process.
  • Research and Analysis: Conduct legal research and gather information necessary for the preparation of documents and court filings.
  • Case Management: Manage case files, track deadlines, and ensure timely completion of tasks.
Requirements:
  • Education: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Paralegal Studies, Legal Studies, or a related field; Paralegal certification preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience as a paralegal in a trusts and estates legal department or similar setting.
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of probate procedures, estate administration, and trust management. Familiarity with state and federal laws related to trusts and estates.
