Compensation:
The salary for this position ranges from $180,000 to $200,000 annually.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Trusts & Estates Associate, you will play a crucial role in delivering comprehensive legal services to our clients. Your responsibilities will include:
1. Offering expert legal counsel in trust and estate planning, administration, and taxation.
2. Drafting and reviewing various estate planning documents, such as wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and healthcare directives.
3. Administering trusts and estates, which includes managing probate proceedings, trust terminations, and distributions.
4. Representing clients in dealings with tax authorities and in probate and surrogate court matters.
5. Collaborating with tax professionals to create tax-efficient estate plans.
6. Staying informed about the latest laws, regulations, and trends in trusts, estates, and taxation to provide clients with accurate and timely advice.
7. Building and nurturing strong client relationships, ensuring a deep understanding of their objectives and consistently exceeding their service expectations.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
1. A Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
2. An LLM in Taxation is preferred but not mandatory.
3. Admission to the Bar of Florida.
4. A minimum of 3 years of experience in trusts and estates law.
5. Proven expertise in administering trusts and estates.
6. Strong knowledge of federal and state tax laws related to trusts and estates.
7. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
8. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
9. A high level of professionalism and a commitment to client service.
