Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled EEG Technologist I Non-Registered to join our team at AdventHealth Orlando. As a key member of our neurosciences department, you will be responsible for performing quality EEG recordings, scanning and correlating study information, and facilitating all aspects of study completion and reporting.

Responsibilities
  • Performs quality EEG recordings by collecting pertinent patient history information, properly preparing the patient, conducting the examination, and preparing the recording for physician interpretation.
  • Utilizes appropriate activation procedures.
  • Accurately documents, posts, and charges for procedures to ensure quality standards set by the department and hospital.
  • Actively supports and participates in department and hospital quality improvement initiatives as directed.
  • Adheres to hospital infection control and safety standards.
  • Ensures equipment is in good working condition and initiates appropriate contacts when repairs are required.
  • Displays a caring and courteous attitude and goes above and beyond department expectations.
  • Maintains a professional relationship with all customers.
  • Maintains the confidentiality of employees, patients, administration, and medical staff information with no infractions.
Requirements
  • Minimum one-year EEG experience or has completed greater than 50% of courses toward or is a graduate of an Electroneurodiagnostics (END) program.
  • Ability to work night shifts and variable days, including weekends.
