Job Summary

AdventHealth is seeking a skilled EEG Technologist to join our team. As an EEG Technologist, you will be responsible for performing inpatient and outpatient routine and continuous EEG recordings, analyzing and comparing study information, and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform EEG recordings according to ACNS guidelines and department policy
  • Prepare patients for testing using the International 10-20 system of measurement and hookup
  • Ensure patient safety at all times
  • Perform quality recordings by accurately documenting patient and study demographic information, collecting pertinent patient history information, and preparing the recording for physician interpretation
  • Inform physicians and/or supervisors of changes in patient condition or abnormalities on the recording
  • Maintain supplies and equipment for patient care
  • Interact with patients and family members in a professional, courteous, and compassionate manner
  • Accurately document and charge for procedures to ensure quality standards
Requirements
  • Minimum one-year EEG experience or completion of greater than 50% of courses toward or graduation from an Electroneurodiagnostics (END) program
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Fluent in 10-20 system
