Job Summary

AdventHealth Central Florida is seeking a skilled EEG Technologist Non-Registered to join our team. As an EEG Technologist, you will be responsible for performing inpatient and outpatient routine and continuous EEG recordings, analyzing and comparing study information, and ensuring patient safety at all times.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform inpatient and outpatient routine and continuous EEG recordings per ACNS and departmental guidelines
  • Analyze and compare study information to ensure accuracy and quality
  • Ensure patient safety at all times, using the International 10-20 system of measurement and hookup
  • Prepare patient for testing, including collecting pertinent patient history information and properly preparing the patient using age-specific criteria
  • Conduct the examination and prepare the recording for physician interpretation
  • Inform the physician and/or supervisor of changes in the patient's condition or abnormalities on the recording
  • Maintain supplies and equipment for patient care, and accurately document and charge for procedures
Requirements
  • Minimum one-year EEG experience or completion of greater than 50% of courses toward or graduation from an Electroneurodiagnostics (END) program
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Fluent in the 10-20 system
