Position Overview:

The Accounting Manager will report directly to the Director of Accounting and Controls, playing a pivotal role in steering financial leadership within the organization. This position demands a seasoned financial expert with a proven history of success spanning 5 to 10 years, responsible for delivering insightful analysis, guidance, and comprehensive reporting across the global landscape of Dover Corporation.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with global controllership teams to ensure alignment on changes within the financial governance framework.
  • Develop and enforce robust financial procedures that yield precise, timely, and relevant financial statements.
  • Oversee the coordination of month-end financial submissions, ensuring accuracy and consistency across all regional operations.
  • Drive process enhancements in collaboration with shared services and operational units.
  • Establish a strong internal control environment in compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and regulatory standards.
  • Facilitate compliance with Dover Corporation’s reporting requirements, including monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reporting.
  • Engage with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements.
  • Conduct thorough reviews of balance sheets and monitor critical controls across various entities.
  • Support special projects and initiatives aimed at process simplification and operational excellence.
  • Assist in the implementation of financial reporting tools and provide necessary support from the controllership function.
  • Maintain effective communication with Dover Corporate regarding monthly operational results and strategic initiatives.

Essential Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; an MBA is advantageous.
  • In-depth knowledge of US GAAP, internal controls, and financial reporting standards.
  • A minimum of 5 years of professional accounting experience with demonstrated leadership in operational finance.
  • Proficiency in financial analytic applications and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience with modern ERP systems is essential.
