Position Overview:

This role is responsible for the independent installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of technological systems in various academic settings. The position requires a proactive approach to addressing technology-related inquiries from faculty, staff, and students through multiple communication channels, including a ticketing system, direct interactions, phone inquiries, and electronic correspondence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to end-user software, hardware, and operating systems to ensure smooth operation within classroom environments.
  • Conduct training sessions for faculty, staff, and students on the effective use of classroom technology, enhancing the overall educational experience.
  • Provide exceptional customer service while managing multiple tasks with attention to detail.
  • Collaborate effectively within a team environment to address and resolve technology challenges.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant technology field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to obtain a valid driver's license prior to employment.
  • Experience in troubleshooting desktop computers (both PC and Mac) and related components.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced knowledge of classroom technology systems.
  • Experience in analyzing, installing, and maintaining educational technology.
  • Familiarity with troubleshooting network issues in both wired and wireless environments.
  • Proficiency in diagnosing technical issues on PC and Mac systems.
  • Experience with IT help desk or customer service software.
  • Relevant industry certifications.
  • Prior experience in a higher education setting.
