Role Summary:
We are seeking a Media Planning Associate Director to join our dynamic team, focusing on a new Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) client. In this pivotal role, you will establish the operational framework for the team, guide strategic initiatives, and serve as a key marketing collaborator for your clients. Your deep understanding of client businesses will position you as a leader within our agency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the quality, accuracy, and excellence of media planning outputs.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on current and emerging media opportunities relevant to the assigned brand/category, facilitating communication of these opportunities to internal teams and clients.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in media implementation and evaluation techniques, including reach curve updates, MediaTools, and various measurement tools.
  • Oversee the collection and reporting of competitive market/media insights for each brand/category, providing actionable business intelligence to inform media and marketing strategies.
  • Serve as the primary liaison for the client's internal media personnel and brand staff regarding media-related discussions.
  • Lead the strategic media planning process, offering guidance and support to supervisors, planners, and assistants.
  • Contribute to the negotiation and formulation of annual client contracts and supplementary proposals while managing account profitability.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 4 years of media planning experience within a large agency environment.
  • At least 2 years of leadership experience overseeing a team of planners and supervisors.
  • 3+ years of comprehensive media experience, particularly in Linear TV/Upfronts, CTV, OLV, Streaming Radio, and Social media.
  • Proficient in tools such as Media Ocean, DDS, Nielsen Ad Intel, Pathmatics, and various media research instruments.
  • Experience in developing social media strategies and holistic video plans.
  • Understanding of national-level sponsorship campaign planning.
  • Proven ability to foster collaborative relationships across teams.
