Compensation: $22 - $25 per hour

Position Summary:

We are in search of a meticulous Financial Operations Associate for a contract-to-hire opportunity. This role is pivotal in overseeing daily activities associated with invoice processing, ensuring precision, and complying with organizational policies. Additionally, the position entails monthly reconciliations of credit card transactions and other general ledger accounts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute batch check runs, wire transfers, and Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions.
  • Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliations, including credit card and general ledger transactions.
  • Prepare monthly journal entries and guarantee accurate entry into the financial system for invoices, vouchers, expense reports, and check requests.
  • Serve as the credit card administrator, managing card orders, coding receipts, and disputing transactions on behalf of cardholders.
  • Oversee vendor maintenance, including the setup of new vendors and updates to existing vendor profiles in the accounting system.
  • Manage vendor communication via phone or email and resolve issues related to invoice processing.
  • Assist with monthly status reports and month-end closings.
  • Complete vehicle purchase functions, including processing third-party purchase orders, title & license charges, and manual checks.
  • Process vehicle citations, enter them into the system, and manage payments.
  • Address routine internal and external inquiries regarding account status and communicate resolutions.
  • Maintain and distribute accounting documents, records, and reports.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience in accounting, preferably in a role similar to Accounts Payable Clerk.
  • Familiarity with bookkeeping and fundamental accounting practices.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, databases, and accounting software.
  • Practical experience with financial reports and intermediate Excel skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational capabilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, follow up on outstanding issues, and meet deadlines.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; an Associate degree or relevant certification is advantageous.
