The Financial Systems Analyst plays a crucial role in overseeing the performance and technological framework of the Finance department. This position will also engage in value-driven business intelligence initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support business operations including management reporting, data governance, analytics, and systems.
  • Contribute to the design and management of financial reporting and planning systems.
  • Oversee the development and data management processes that underpin financial systems.
  • Manage financial reporting models and collaborate with databases to facilitate departmental analysis.
  • Act as a subject matter expert to enhance business analytics and partner with fellow financial analysts to deliver valuable insights to various business units and corporate functions.
Essential Functions
  • Assist in the administration of financial systems.
  • Maintain hierarchies across reporting dimensions.
  • Manage data integrations and transformation processes across multiple systems.
  • Participate in model and system design projects within financial systems.
  • Investigate and resolve issues, errors, and enhancements within financial systems and processes under supervision.
  • Ensure that procedures are thoroughly documented.
  • Execute queries and develop procedures to support research and analysis.
  • Engage in database management to support reporting activities.
  • Process month-end data feeds and distribute various reports.
  • Participate in the budgeting and forecasting processes as required.
  • Contribute to a variety of ad-hoc projects as necessary.
  • Prepare ad hoc reporting and modeling.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • 2+ years of experience in finance, accounting, or business analysis.
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, information systems, or a related field.
  • Intermediate knowledge of SQL.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to identify, research, and interpret data effectively.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and projects while delivering accurate results in a timely manner.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to make continuous improvements.

Preferred Knowledge and Skills:

  • Familiarity with Banking & Financial Services.
  • Basic experience with Workday.
Work Environment

This role involves routine tasks that range from straightforward to moderately complex. The Financial Systems Analyst works independently under close supervision and is expected to make decisions within established guidelines.
