The Project Financial Analyst will support the Project Management team and the Accounting Manager in monitoring job costs, forecasting financial outcomes, and providing essential accounting assistance related to project expenditures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the Project Management Team and Accounting Manager on:
    • Tracking, reporting, and forecasting job costs.
    • Reviewing and processing accruals and job cost reallocations at the end of each month.
    • Preparing and submitting monthly client invoices while managing accounts receivable follow-ups.
    • Assisting in the preparation of proposals, bids, change orders, and project budgets, and suggesting necessary adjustments to budgets and forecasts.
    • Setting up bids and project budgets in CRM (Salesforce) and accounting software (Spectrum).
    • Collecting vendor pre-qualification documents and drafting vendor subcontracts.
    • Preparing and monitoring internal work orders and monthly capital expenditure reports.
    • Creating, maintaining, updating, and distributing project setup, planning, and cost reporting documents to meet the needs of the project team, utilizing Spectrum and Power BI reports.
  • Participate in project meetings as required and follow up on job cost and budget-related action items.
  • Ensure all project documentation is complete, current, and properly archived.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exceptional analytical and critical thinking abilities.
  • Adaptability and capability to shift priorities in a dynamic work environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Two to five years of experience in job cost accounting or bookkeeping with cross-functional project teams; a degree in a related field is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce is advantageous but not mandatory.
