About the Position: We are seeking a Global Logistics Category Manager to join our Indirect Procurement team, tasked with the development and oversight of logistics sourcing strategies. This role is pivotal in ensuring that category plans, strategies, and implementation align with the overarching Indirect Procurement strategy, Source-to-Pay (S2P) Managed Services offerings, and the broader needs of the Enterprise and Divisions. Additionally, this position will provide functional leadership to the Indirect Procurement Logistics Category Team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive the formulation and execution of a comprehensive Global Logistics Procurement Strategy in collaboration with Supply Chain Leaders and Logistics Operating teams.
  • Influence divisional decisions in logistics to harmonize Enterprise objectives while addressing individual divisional requirements.
  • Leverage market intelligence to uncover opportunities and shape category management strategies.
  • Foster key stakeholder relationships to ensure alignment with business needs.
  • Utilize outputs from the Procurement Operations team to effectively implement category strategies, including Spend Analytics, Total Cost of Ownership, Supplier Performance, and Risk Management.
  • Conduct supplier risk assessments, devise mitigation strategies, and monitor supplier performance against established KPIs.
  • Ensure comprehensive supply market analyses are conducted for Logistics, incorporating Supplier Diversity and ESG considerations in support of Enterprise Goals.
  • Lead the development and execution of category strategies that align with company objectives through collaboration with Indirect Division functional leads.
  • Negotiate enterprise-wide contracts or agreements of substantial value.
  • Provide guidance to Managed Service Strategic Sourcing Category Managers, Indirect Procurement Category Managers, and Procurement Specialists across all Divisions and Specialty Groups.
Required Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in Procurement, with at least 5 years in Category Management or Strategic Procurement activities.
  • At least 5 years of experience in global Logistics Shipping, Warehouse, and 3PL or 4PL Indirect Procurement Strategic roles.
  • Experience collaborating with external procurement partners to drive projects and implement industry-standard Source-to-Pay (S2P) practices.
  • In-depth knowledge of current Logistics products and service offerings.
  • Proven track record of driving savings and value within the Logistics Category.
  • Ability to facilitate change with a growth mindset focused on industry best practices.
  • Strong relationship-building skills across global businesses and functions.
  • Effective communication and influencing skills to encourage adoption of new operational methods.
  • Negotiation skills to achieve necessary objectives with internal stakeholders.
  • Willingness to travel up to 20%, including internationally.
Desired Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • CPSM, CPM, SPSM, or similar certification.
  • Previous experience in a leadership role.
