L3Harris Technologies is on the lookout for a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer to become a vital part of our team in Canoga Park, CA.

This role involves delivering comprehensive Quality Engineering support for designated contracted projects throughout their lifecycle, which includes design, development, production, testing, and supplier collaboration.


Key Responsibilities:
Utilizes engineering expertise to guarantee that customer requirements are effectively communicated and that hardware adheres to specified standards.

Manages and communicates deviations or non-conformances at various organizational levels and with customers as necessary. Prepares detailed analyses, procedures, reports, and presentations for both internal and external stakeholders.
Actively engages in improvement initiatives aimed at minimizing risks through the application of six sigma methodologies.

Employs zero defects quality principles, concepts, and techniques, including Lean Manufacturing, to continuously enhance processes, reduce costs, and ensure the quality of products and services.

Leads corrective and preventative action initiatives both internally and with suppliers, providing support for corrective action boards to ensure timely and effective resolution of issues and prevention of recurrence.

Interprets engineering drawings, specifications, and quality requirements from customers and the company to ensure compliance.

Participates in design reviews to identify and rectify inspectability and producibility challenges and opportunities early in the product lifecycle.

Ensures a clear and concise communication of product definitions and quality requirements to suppliers.

Actively contributes to the Material Review Board, including the segregation and control of nonconforming hardware to prevent inadvertent processing, dispositioning nonconforming hardware, preparing for and conducting board meetings, and implementing disposition decisions.


Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience. A Graduate Degree with a minimum of 4 years of related experience. Alternatively, a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.

Preferred Skills:

Strong interpersonal abilities.
Capability to analyze, evaluate, and devise solutions for a variety of situations.

Advanced degree in a related discipline.
Certification in Quality Engineering (CQE) and/or Six Sigma Black Belt (CSSBB).
Experience with Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and Zero Defect Planning.
Experience with Model Driven Architecture (MDA).

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $92,500 - $171,500.

This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amounts may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
