Position Overview:

The Transitional Financial Advisor (TFA) role is a structured three-year program designed for financial advisors or planners focused on delivering investment management solutions and financial planning advice.

A successful Transitional FA will utilize their expertise to address the unique and intricate needs of clients in the Mass Affluent (MA) segment by assessing needs, evaluating financial objectives, and providing investment recommendations that align with client goals. This role acts as the primary liaison, responsible for client service and relationship development to enhance client engagement and help them achieve their asset management objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Experience in selling investment products and delivering financial plans.
  • Commitment to a customer-centric approach, ensuring exceptional service in every interaction to foster retention and growth.
  • Facilitate a comprehensive onboarding experience for new clients, including thorough discovery sessions and financial needs assessments.
  • Collaborate to promote lead generation opportunities.
  • Effectively manage priorities and tasks in a dynamic environment.
  • Provide a tailored MA Planning Experience for all clients.
  • Implement a structured process for Annual Client Review (ACR) meetings, focusing on comprehensive wealth needs.
  • Serve as the main contact for TD Wealth client relationships within the MA segment, coordinating with Retail and Wealth partners as necessary.
  • Execute a distinct service model for MA clients.
  • Achieve quarterly and annual sales targets.
  • Enhance client wallet share by anticipating needs and recommending suitable Wealth solutions.
  • Identify opportunities within your network to refer business to Retail and Small Business/Commercial Partners.
  • Ensure compliance with regulations, policies, and procedures in all business activities.
  • Maintain adherence to all relevant federal, state, and organizational regulations.
  • Fulfill Continuing Education requirements.
  • Understand and comply with TD Bank & TD Wealth Policies and Procedures.
  • Implement TD's Customer Identification Program (CIP) by collecting and verifying necessary customer identification information.
  • Identify high-value clients and transition them to appropriate HNW Wealth partners.
  • Contribute to a positive work environment and support the overall Wealth team.
  • Provide coaching and training to Retail and Small Business staff.
  • Actively participate in community initiatives and represent TD Wealth professionally.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years in investment sales and financial planning with a proven track record.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of investment products and services.
  • Series 65 certification required.
  • Life and Health insurance licenses required or must be obtained within the licensing schedule.
  • Advanced understanding of wealth management business development techniques and industry practices.
  • Proven ability to meet sales objectives.
  • Familiarity with retail and small business banking.
  • Ability to establish effective relationships across departments within TD Bank.
  • Willingness to travel within the assigned market to meet clients and partners.
  • Valid Driver's License required.
