About the Role

This is a senior leadership position within the Bank of America Merrill Lynch organization, reporting to the Director of the Merrill Center for Family Wealth. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading initiatives designed to help ultra-high-net-worth families navigate the complexities of wealth by applying advanced methodologies in support of family wealth dynamics and governance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Family Meetings Facilitation: Design, facilitate, and follow-through on family meetings to ensure effective communication and decision-making among family members.
  • Advisor Education and Development: Design and deliver educational offerings and coaching support for Financial Advisors to enhance their skills and knowledge in family wealth dynamics and governance.
  • Client Education: Provide subject matter expertise through educational tools, resources, and events to help clients make informed decisions about their wealth.
  • Thought Leadership: Author whitepapers, articles, and other collateral to share insights and best practices in family wealth governance and dynamics.
  • Strategic Program Development: Create and execute high-impact initiatives that add strategic capability to the repertoire of the Center in its work with clients and advisors.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 10 years of professional experience working with ultra-high-net-worth families, focused on family meeting facilitation, family dynamics, education, and governance.
  • Expertise in advanced high-tension multiparty facilitation with ultra-high-net-worth individuals and families.
  • Experience and interest in authoring client-facing and/or Advisor-facing pieces to share family governance insights and considerations.
  • Previous experience in the financial services industry preferred.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in Word and PowerPoint.

  • Ability to obtain the confidence and trust of Advisors and clients through subject matter expertise and a thoughtful and collaborative approach.
  • Strong, open communication channels with colleagues within Merrill Private Wealth Management and across the firm to elicit feedback and promote collaboration on an ongoing basis.
  • Generate thought leadership and programs that amplify the impact of the Center for Family Wealth.
  • Serve as an active team player, partnering with other members of the Center team in sharing insights and feedback.
  • Proactively identify new ideas and topics of interest for group discussion to contribute to the team's overall success and competitive strength.
