Job Overview

Position: Vice President of Finance

Your Role: As the Vice President of Finance, you will play a pivotal role in steering the financial direction of Optiwatt. You will be responsible for establishing financial strategies that align with our growth ambitions and ensuring robust financial operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Strategy & Planning: Formulate and implement financial strategies to support our expansion goals.
  • Oversee the annual budgeting process, including long-term financial forecasting.
  • Provide strategic insights to the executive team based on comprehensive financial analyses.

Operational Finance:

  • Manage all financial operations, including accounting, financial planning and analysis, treasury, tax, and compliance.
  • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Oversee cash flow management and capital structure to maintain liquidity.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Act as a primary liaison for investors, auditors, and regulatory agencies.
  • Prepare and present financial performance reports to the board and stakeholders.
  • Lead fundraising initiatives and cultivate relationships with financial partners.

Qualifications:

  1. A passion for sustainability and technology, particularly in areas like electric vehicles and smart energy solutions.
  2. A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline; an MBA or CPA is preferred.
  3. A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in finance.
  4. Experience in a high-growth startup or technology environment, ideally in a Series A or later stage.
  5. A proven ability to manage finance functions in fast-paced settings.
  6. Strong expertise in financial modeling, forecasting, and analytical skills.
  7. Exceptional communication skills, capable of translating complex financial concepts for diverse audiences.
  8. Demonstrated leadership and collaborative skills with a focus on results.
